Acronym Submission Guidelines

Guidelines for new submissions:
Only if you know of actual (not made-up) acronyms, abbreviations or initialisms not in the database or see inaccuracies, should you forward it to the author.
Accuracy is important. AcronymGenie database is focused on "real" computer acronyms and abbreviations in common use.
An acronym must be no more than 20 characters long. The expansion must be within 250 characters (including any elaboration or parenthetical comments).
You may include brief parenthetical notes on context, usage or a source.
Do not enter copyrighted lists, collections or databases of acronyms unless you are the owner of the list's copyright or have the owner's permission (please forward permission and contact info).
New submissions and/or corrections will normally be processed in the next release of AcronymGenie.
If you have a large number of acronyms to submit, you can send them as a file. You can use comments to explain origins.
